The Human Rights Forum has reported a troubling trend of farmer suicides in Anantapur district, with approximately 150 cases recorded in 2024 alone.
Among these, the families of 18 deceased farmers have yet to receive any form of compensation from the government.
Rights advocates are now pressing for urgent government intervention to support these affected families during this difficult time.
